Start knitting or any craft that keeps your hands busy🤔😊. I started knitting again after 30 years and it takes my mind off food. I am knitting myself jumpers in a smaller size to keep me motivated.😊

I was going to suggest taking up a hobby too. I keep my hands and brain busy with a number of different crafts, currently finishing off making my Christmas cards and I have a teddy bear on the go.

Hi Heidi, I have water by me most of the day and I just sip as required.

I feel good if I have a nice Healthy breakfast , lunch is lighter & a nice Healthy meal in the evening, early some time, but planning ahead is my problem and I enjoy my food.

Have a look at the food diary and enjoy some tips or suggestions for Healthy meals.

Nice Healthy snacks.

Don't go hungry, have lots of vegetables.

Good luck with your journey.

Kind regards George 56

Go take a hot bath and do a beauty routine like a facial. It will make you feel good and pretty. Go clean something out or do a project that will make you feel accomplished. Drink some water. Go to bed.

I too can go all day not eating then in the evening I will have something very late I also suffer with inskmnia which I find makes it worse. I normally cross Stitch but had recent hand surgery hoping to get back to it soon and to start knitting baby clothes as my daughter is having a baby in March. I need to lose a couple of stone to feel comfortable and to help my knees and hips. I totally understand what you are saying.

You have had some good advice Heidi1966 , and the key is distraction to avoid those evening binges and drinking lots of water.

You can do this and we will all support you, best of luck :)

It can be really difficult at times Heidi1966

Decorate a room or anything. Like the others are saying, keep yourself busy. Plan to be doing something before those 'boredom/munchie' moments rear their ugly heads.

Additionally, make sure that by the end of the night you've still got some calories left over in your daily total. I used to then 'complete' my calories by finding something to eat where I could eat a small bit of it at a time eg. 20g of sultanas, a couple of satsumas, a couple of pieces of chocolate that I would take half an hour to eat a small bit at a time.

Good luck!

You may be not having enough to eat during the day. In the evening you are then hungry. In some people if you draw a hunger graph it has high peaks and low. Ideally it needs to be restricted to minor peaks. Try having healthy breakfast, mid morning healthy snack, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner then an evening snack. It’s not when you eat it’s how much. So by keeping below your daily required intake but eating at short regular intervals, it may help you. I hope so. Good luck!

I read somewhere that cravings last ten minutes but if you give in they go on for ever lol. I tell myself that when the chocolate refuses to stay in cupboard. You are not alone but great support here all the best you can do it
