I came to this site this week as a friend of mine joined up this month and seems to be really motivated by it.
I am 43 and left home at 27 and with terrible bad habits I have put on 4 stobe since then. I am not happy with my weight and not comfortable naked but I have developed a terrible habit for sweets and crisps and eating out and basically junk food.
I am not good at sticking at things as I tend to be all or nothing and have an addictive personality but I know I look so much better slimmer.
I also have a bad addiction for going to bed in the early hours of the morning which doesn't help with nightime nibbling!
Hope we can all spur each other on to achieve our goals.
Good luck everyone! Katie xxx

You are certainly in the best place to get encouragement - but only you can change what you do. Sounds to me like you want to change things so perhaps decide what one thing you will change to begin with. Maybe changing bedtime will sort out the snacking and those two thing will give you the incentive to change something else.
All the best on your journey, i certainly have my food weaknesses. I try to replace sweet food for low calorie cereal bars. Avoid keeping temptation in the house. I am also fairly new here, i started on my slimming diet middle July this year, lost about a stone and quarter, before joining here.
Did you get a chance to follow the link that Hidden provided you and a look at the NHS 12 week plan?
Perhaps use today's weigh-in to help you get kick started and how about the Daily Diary, I find that by making myself write down the coming day's food makes me more likely to stick to that.
