I pick and eat at food thoughout the day

I tend to pick more in the evening and it's highly, likely to be out of bordem as I have nothing to do. I eat healthily throughout the day with good portion sizes and a snack mid morning. (quite active also with a few gym visits during the working week)I am trying to lose 2 stone and i know that the picking won't help, so i need tips on how to stop picking later on in the day.

Welcome chloebennett17x planning can often help you to refrain from picking if you plan based on your day and eat sufficient to keep you satisfied.

I would like to invite you to join our Newbie Club, which we hope will be a good place for you to connect with members, who are also just starting out, or re-starting. If you just post a few words on the September Newbie Club thread to introduce yourself and respond to others there you will soon feel part of the club.

Follow this link to the Newbie club: healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

Please read all the information carefully, it is very useful and can be referred to whenever you want to check something.

It just remains for me to wish you well on your journey.

Why are we grazers in the evening? It's a bad habit. Here is my contingency palns: When I'm looking for something sweet I'll brush my teeth or eat some chewing gum. If there is calories left I'll eat a spoon peanut butter. Or a nice latte helps. If you know the reason (boredom) you are halfway. Now you need to think of things that you can eat or maybe you can start a hobby?

Maybe keep some calories and have some nuts in the evening. Better still take up knitting, cross stitch, crotchet, make a puzzle, paint your nails, anything that keeps your mind occupied and your hands busy:)

Hi and welcome chloebennett17x :)

I always ate in the evenings, even early hours of the morning and then i found this forum. I'm not saying i am totally cured, as i suffer with depression and this was alot of the problem, including lack of sleep. Wheras before joining i was late night snacking every single evening and now it is very rare.

Try and find different things to occupy your mind with, even coming on here and talking helps.

You can do this, good luck :)

This is really my problem too. My only solution was to ask my husband to stop filling the cupboard with all manner of sweet stuff. I needed to know it wasn't there! Then I started on lemon water which seems to make me less hungry and weirdly exercising later in the day makes me less hungry.

Not what you're looking for?
