Hello! I am starting the Counter Plus 12 week Program on 30th September, and felt that with support it will hopefully be a bit easier! Are there many people on it? Are you enjoying it? Any tips greatly appreciated, thank you xx

Don't know much about that one. Good luck to you on your journey! You came to the right place for sure.

Hi and welcome ShetlandWifie

Many people on here start off on the NHS 12 week programme, not sure about the programme you are talking about.

You say you are starting 30 September is there a reason for this? We don't see this as a diet but a way of healthy eating that helps us to lose or maintain :)

I'd like to invite you to join our Newbie Club, which we hope will be a good place for you to connect with members, who are also just starting out. If you just post a few words to introduce yourself and respond to others there, you'll soon break the ice. Here's the link

I've also given you a week 1 badge.

Wishing you all the best

:)

Dear Shetland wife

Welcome to this forum.

Just wondering why you are waiting until 30 September . There is an old proverb never put off till tomorrow what you can do today.

You'll find all the info here and support so why not start today?

Best wishes

Hey 👋 it’s a program run by my local NHS, with a start/finish date! 8 people including myself are on it !

I'm presuming it's a scheme run locally for you? I started on a similar thing and found it very good, but living rurally this forum also offers fabulous support 😊

Good luck!

Thank you all for your lovely words 😊 the counter plus diet is a 800 calories a day diet, I'm diabetic so this program has been arranged through both the dietetics and the diabetic clinic, the 2 departments are working together to help keep insulin correct as well as losing weight in a safe controlled way, it consists of 4 shakes a day along with 2.5 litres of water and 50ml milk for 12 weeks, then re-introducing food, and is a year long program, the start date isn't until 30 September when shakes will have arrived haha

800 calories sounds very low - good luck - I hope it all goes really well for you. I'm guessing when you re-introduce food they will also up the calories and cut out the shakes?

Yes, the shakes are just for the 12 weeks, then back on food 😊
