Thanks for your answer, it's really good to walk, but I can't drive cycle . I will try to start this plan maybe it can be not really difficult for me as I am thinking about it.
But really appreciate your suggestion. Thanks again for being here to motivate me and everyone else here.
Welcome to the Weight Loss NHS forum. I agree with moreless that walking is excellent exercise, and whatever exercise you choose should be something you enjoy, and when you get to Week 2 of the NHS 12 week plan, there will be lots of information given to you on the different exercises you could potentially consider. Building up gradually to a level that feels right for you, is the key.
You might like to look at this Challenge that has recently started, as there are some useful feedback and reflection points from people who have just started doing the NHS 12 week plan, and also from other of us who have decided to do it again, which we're terming 'Re-booting'. You'd be welcome to join in this Challenge, or any others in the Pinned Posts area (see the top right-hand-side of the homepage for the Pinned Posts).
I'd also recommend reading the Welcome Newbie post, which is really great. We also have a Recipe Collation post too - you'd have to click on 'view more' to see that - so if you can't see it, and would like to take a look, just let me know and I'll put a link here for you to see it.
Also, if you'd like to join the Monday group weigh-in - then look out for the post tomorrow. I will be posting it in the early morning, and it's really motivating to be part of a group weigh-in.
Wishing you success with your weight loss journey, and have a great week.
for your so much supportive answer. For being here you are doing such a great job.I feeling so motivated to get my goal because of being the part of this friendly forum.Such lovely and supporting people are here on the forum.Recipe collation mean people share the recipes here.
I would like to ask you , where mostly is the weigh in group on Monday.
You can always find the link to the Monday group weigh-in in the 'Events' section - look at the right-hand-side of the page, and you should see it (you need to look at the homepage).
I will try to remember and pop over with a link for you tomorrow, to help you to find us.
I am a newbie on day 4 of the 12 week plan, I too find the motivation to exercise difficult and at the moment running is way out of the question so I am starting with gentle walking on the treadmill and taking the dogs out more. I also love to listen to music so closing the curtains, locking the door I can sing and move about to my favourite music, no one can see me, it eases your mood especially good if you suffer from depression and low mood swings and hey I'm moving! it may not be a pretty sight but who cares it's exercise. Do whatever interests you and you enjoy and good luck we are all in it together!
What a lovely way you found for exercise, it's definitely helpful. I love walking as well , I need to built stamina for little jog or slow running during my walk to burn more of calories.
I felt grateful for your motivation the way of exercise.
