Hi babybaps44. Three of the medications I'm on all cause weight gain. One in particular puts the Weight on round my midriff. At times it really gets me down coz I kno I must take these meds and I feel at times that I'm trying to win a losing battle weight-wise. Also I suffer FMS and CFS which makes exercise very difficult and on some days impossible. So I can empathise with u a lot.
I am on a med too that causes weight in the middle. It's like fighting a losing battle. It's nice to know you can relate. Can we even lose weight on these meds? What do you think about it? What are you doing?
Hiya, last year I weighed 17.9st at age 17, I'm now 18 weighing 12.10st, all I done was cut out fizzy COMPLETELY, it isn't needed and remember if you don't have it now, you can have it when you have the results you need, you aren't going to miss out and your body doesn't need it, nor does your body want it, whenever you feel hungry or feel like snacking, have a glass of water. The human brain cannot determine whether you are hungry or thirsty because of the fact they're extremely similar feelings, next time you want to snack have a glass of water, if that doesn't stop the hungry feeling then eat something light which doesn't give loads of energy as well as containing as little saturated fats possible, you could also try yoga, core and arm related exercise if your feet get painful, if you have any questions then I'll be happy to answer any of them as quickly as I can.. all the best good luck and I can't wait to hear from you, your pathway to complete is there, take it! Good luck! x
Hi and welcome Babybaps44
I too put on alot of weight due to my medication. It has taken me ages to lose what i have so far, but it can be done.
It is frustrating at times as i know if i wasn't on the medication that i am, i would never have gained so much weight.
I have cut alot of things out from my diet such as bread, potatoes, sweets, crisps and chocolate. I still have these now and again but in moderation. I still have a bit of a sweet tooth so don't totally cut these out, but include them in my calorie allowance, but this doesn't happen every day.
You can do this and i wish you all the best with your weight loss journey
Hi Babybaps44 and welcome to the forum
I am sorry to hear you are on meds that have made you put weight on and exercise if difficult. Please note none of us on here are medically trained and can only go on our own experience
blackbeauty99 can relate to your situation better than I can and they have lost 2 stone
