I have Ganglions and Plantar Fasciitis in my right foot and since I've had it I've put on loads of weight and I feel ashamed in myself because I use to be size 10-12 12-14 depending where I shopped and now I'm 16-18 sometimes I have to get size 20-22 depending where I shop but I don't know if its to do with the Ganglions and Plantar Fasciitis or my medications because I got changed on my medication around the same time I got the Ganglions and Plantar Fasciitis :/ and to top it off I have OCD so I'm a really fussy eater but the thing I cant understand is why I'm putting on weight because I don't eat junk food or even drink fizzy drinks I must say I LOVE chocolate but I don't always eat chocolate =( anyone have any good advice and I don't just sit around all day I rather walk then go in a car or transport I just need to get back down to size 12-14 so I can feel comfortable in myself again because right now I don't feel like I love myself for the way I look

I need some advice/help
Hi MrsBreezy,
Welcome to the Weight Loss NHS forum. I would recommend having a look at our Welcome Newbie post, which moreless has put together - it has some great advice and suggestions from members of our community. Here's a link to it:
healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...
Please have a look at our Pinned Posts (top right-hand-side of the homepage) as well, as they are worth a read and you might feel inspired to join in with a Challenge or maybe join our Monday group weigh-in (we'll be having a new session tomorrow, but you can read last Monday's post in the Events section - below the Pinned posts, if you want to have a look at what that's like).
Really hope you'll enjoy the forum. The NHS 12 week plan is a great resource and many of us are following its principles, and so do have a look at that and see if maybe it will help you too.
Good luck,
Lowcal
I also suffer from plantar facilitis ,I used to work as a retail manager I was on my feet all day on hard floors also I am overweight and this doesn't help. I used to buy new cushioned shoes every 6 months too ,i have changed job in the last year so am not on my feet as long and have started to lose weight ,I still buy cushioned shoes find Sketchers great and have now noticed a real difference . I don't know about your other condition but losing weight will help so stick with this and good luck.
thank you so much and yeah I have special made innersoles for my shoes too and I just want to be able to feel comfortable in myself again because I got so many clothes but not in my size now and I keep saying to myself i'm going to get back to that size but nothing seems to work and I don't eat junk food and I don't drink fizzy drinks and I rather walk so not like I'm lazy and doing nothing so I don't understand why I'm not losing weight
Have you worked out your calorie consumption and bmi from the site ? I did as I don't have a fit bit. Then you will have a guide for how much you can have .If you don't eat enough your body stores fat .I also use the calorie counter its great .I write everything down and I am honest about it ,I still eat things I like but avoid bread and sugar treats .I am veggie so eat a lot of veg which is filling . But I also like cheese and still have it in small amounts regularly infact most days with fruit.
hey I don't really like bread unless its toast because I don't like the taste of the bread and its not often I have toast and I don't eat junk food I'm a really fussy eater Ive just tried fish and I like the fish but I don't like the batter so I take that off, I only really like eating chicken like fresh chicken if you understand that and yeah I love veg but I only like limited of veg
Maybe you not eating enough?
Mm ! You said your medication has been changed so maybe that is behind it , maybe worth a chat with your GP ? If it is that maybe your body is adjusting ? Think I would speak to doc still .
I think its harder to lose weight as you get older. Well it is for me anyway. I've had some success doing a low carb diet. So no or very little sugar potatoes, bread or pasta. I do have porridge for breakfast as it really fills me up. The bad news though is I've nearly totally cut out alcohol. Hope you find the right answer for you. Good luck.
