I'm just wondering...baked beans...are they ok for a low carb diet?!
Trying to cut a few carbs out of my diet as they seem to be hindering my weight loss. But craving them for lunch! Already nearly at the top of my carb allowance tho..
The internet seems to tell me that they are either a big no no or that they're just full of minimal carbs. What does everyone reckon? =D

It depends how low carb you're wanting to go and what your general feeling about processed foods is, Kicksy.
I follow a low carb diet and don't eat baked beans, including the low sugar variety. Half a can of these have 20.5g carbs, of which 4.7g is sugar (7g per tsp). The original kind has 26.7g carb, 10.3g are sugar.
Don't forget baked beans also supply a lot of protein for the calories and are very easy when you're pushed for time. If you following a moderate carb plan they have their place. 😀
