Helloooo have just joined: I am fed up... - Weight Loss Support
Helloooo have just joined
It is brill and you will get lots of encouragement and support. Someone from admin will help you a little later. Just going to wish you good luck on your journey 👍🏻😎
You've come to the right place. All the best.
Hi, I've only just joined myself.
I have a lot of weight to lose, just finding my way around this site. There's a lot of support and advice.
So good 😊 luck and have a great day. Xx
Hi and welcome Hidden
Hi and welcome, womanhood
Take a look at the Pinned posts section to the right of your screen (bottom if you're using a mobile), or in the drop down on the 'Posts' page (it says 'arrange by'). Read the Welcome Newbie thread, then move through to the challenges, where we hope you'll find at least one that will appeal to you.
Move down to the Topics, to find a variety of threads, collated into specific topics for ease of access and we ask that you also 'file' your own threads, so that others won't miss your important news.
Take a look at the NHS 12 week plan, as a lot of people have been successful with it, making sure to enter your details into the BMI calculator, to get a calorie allowance tailored to your personal requirements. Don't forget to take your starting measurements and a 'before' picture, as they can be very motivating on days that the scales refuse to co-operate.
To the right of the HOME page (bottom on a mobile), you'll find Events. In there, you'll find links to our daily Weigh-in's (you will choose just one day per week), our Daily Diary, where we post our menu and exercise plans, for accountability, advice and support and our “What's happening today” thread, where we pop in for a chat.
Be aware, that the HU app doesn't give you access to all of our important features, so we advise that you use the full website page.
We've found that to get the best out of this community, we need to be active on the forum, as it's where we exchange information, get motivation and inspiration and make friends. We hope that you'll join us here, regularly, too.
It's only left for me to wish you well on your journey
Welcome! I am not very good at groups, either - and it took me a long time to be present here, too - but it has been SO helpful, and I honesty don't think I would of been so successful (or determined) without the support of everyone here
Good Luck!
Hi and welcome womanhood5656 this is a fab supportive group I am wishing you all the best on your journey and look forward to seeing you post in the Daily Diaries - fab as you can steal ideas for your own menus, however be careful as the calories posted are to the portion sizes that the poster has used - so make sure you work them out for yourself, but they really do give you an idea
use the BMI checker nhs.uk/tools/pages/healthyw... to find your target calories, it's important to eat enough. This was a major turning point for me, realising I could eat anything I wanted as long as the calories are accounted for 😊
Good luck - you can do this
I have so much going on that a traditional group would never work for me, I'd never be able to go! I also much prefer free.....
Welcome aboard and good luck!
I promise you will get a lot of help here!!. It took me awhile to learn this but get InTouch with people of the forum and talk to them then you can inspire each other. There are a lot of encourages here to help you on your jpurney.

Wow thanks everyone for welcoming me to this forum, so lovely.....I will read some of the news soon, seems such a lot going on but nice to be connected with likeminded people and that we are all in the same boat
not sure what brill means unless it means brilliant! it is pretty great here.. the encouragement is awesome. I think if you let us know more about you, we could help more. my problem is I eat at night and not sure how to quit... but here you will get lots of good, free advice to let us know!
Hi, a little about me.....I have always enjoyed food but have always been quite sporty so never a weight issue but in the last few years I seemed to have turned into a nibbler LOL LOL, eating in sugary foods between meals and also late at night as I like the quietness of the night and my concentrate is a great deal better for completing work related stuff but of late have noticed the extra weight and I mean EXTRA and now fed up of the heaviness of my body and a few people commenting on my weight gain, be it in a sensitive way it sort of hurt as I had not realised how much. I seemed to have got into a habit of eating badly and now I am having difficulties turning it around. Am no good at groups so groups like Weight Watchers and Slimming would bore me silly and in a way I know the issues and the need for constant motivation, getting my self into a gentle exercise and eating smaller and healthier meals is my answer. Since I joined this group last week and reading stuff has been an excellent insight, good motivation, inspiration and nice to feel am not alone in this process; not that I really thought I was but nice to know others changing and reading success stories too.
I hope you have had a good week?
Thank you for responding to my email
PS yes brill = brilliant
