I need some help fast.I went shopping for clothes yesterday with my teenage daughter and when I tried on a beach playsuit thing she said I looked like a 57 year old pregnant mermaid!!!!
I did laugh,but its not funny and today have downloaded the app and am determined to get help to lose weight .I have nearly 7 stone to shift.

Take a look at the Welcome Newbie post in the Pinned post section at the right hand side or at the bottom if your on a mobile. Have a look at the nhs 12 week plan, many members have had success following this plan. Use the BMI checker to work out your daily calorie allowance.
Have a look at the Daily Diary which you can find on the Home page in Events. It is where all the members are sharing their daily plans on what they are eating and any exercise they are doing. This thread will give you some ideas on how to start.
Below the Pinned posts are the Topics where members share a range of weight related subjects.
Take your measurements at the start together with a photo so you can see the changes on the days the scales don't move.
We have daily weigh ins so why not come along and join us today. You can find the weigh ins on the Home page in the Events section on the right. Just click on the post in Events and record your start weight and any loss/gain or maintain for the week.
To get the most of the forum be active, share tips, recipes and experiences. Read some of the posts they are very motivating.
Hi. Those playsuit things only look good on children and 'ladies' currently in tv on Love Island. I probably wouldn't set my ambition up there. You. An lose the weight though and being here will help you. Good luck 🤞

Thank yo so much for your kind message and support I think this is what I need for a push as I'm really isolated where i live with no female support whatsoever.Have just put on my new size 20 mum type bikini as we're off to beach and will get my husb to take pics.Watch this space!Bit confused as to what to do as its all a lot to take in but will get to grips with it all over the next few days and do a weigh in in the morning.
Do make sure you are eating enough calories to lose weight though. When I first joined I was never eating enough calories as I should to lose weight because I always thought I would lose weight faster by eating less calories. This was my problem and turned what I did eat into body fat instead and this weighs more than eating the extra calories does so means you don't lose weight and sometimes put weight on instead. Once I was told this I was advised to check my weight on the bmi calculator as this tells you how much you should eat to lose weight depending on how much exercise you do and gives separate amounts for each person, but most of the other sites just give average amounts which are the same to everyone. Once I changed the amount I ate to this I started losing weight and have now lost 2st and most of my fat is gradually becoming less as I am getting firmer. I use MyFitnessPal to help add up my calories as you can take photos of the barcode to give you the exact calories depending on your portion size. Good luck with your journey.
