Hi, I joined today I have 3 stone to lose and hope this will help me with that :)

Welcome to the forum. I am losing weight for my wedding although my fiancé and I haven't set a date yet. I am following Slimming World but I am weighing in at my mum's house instead of going to classes because I am saving for my wedding and I am in the process of moving. I have lost 4lbs in the last 3 weeks. I like this forum and find it useful. I also like the support I get from other members as well as family and friends.

I've lost 11 lb in the last 6 weeks but in the last 2 weeks got a little stressed and ate way to many bad things and now I'm scared to get on the scales , so I've put them away for a couple weeks!

Welcome clover2 Yes you have come to the right site and yes you will get help and encouragement here. You getting motivated is the 1st step then planning your food shopping and meals in advance is another step. I find batch cooking helpfull . I just dont buy bisiutes,cakes (my downfall) so they are not in the house for temptation.You think out what will best suit you.Its amazing the difference a few weeks make in how you feel. I do believe there is a lot of truth in the saying You are what you eat.

Thank you, congratulations on your weight loss and wedding, chocolate is my down fall, I stopped eating sugar and started healthy eating 6 weeks ago and lost 11lb but the last 2 weeks I had a relapse! So I'm avoiding the scales.

Buy70% or 80)% chocolate if you must Gradually it will help you get over the taste for the Cadburys stuff (very moreish) 1 piece is never enough No dont avoid the scales Be brave and hopefully if your head is in the right place and you really want to go forward you will Im rooting for you and will be following you Hope it helps

Thank you, we do have dark chocolate but it's not the same 🙁,

I make my own flap jacks with honey instead of sugar and add chia and pumpkin seeds so I still get something sweet 😋

I will pop on the scales in the morning.

Sorry I'm not great with technology, the reply before was for another person!!!

Thank you for your advise, also believe in you are what you eat and trying to eat food that has not been processed and staying away from sugar. Thank you for your support

Welcome to the weigh loss forum.

Take a look at the Welcome Newbie post in the Pinned post section at the right hand side or at the bottom if your on a mobile. Have a look at the nhs 12 week plan, many members have had success following this plan. Use the BMI checker to work out your daily calorie allowance.

Have a look at the Daily Diary which you can find on the Home page in Events. It is where all the members are sharing their daily plans on what they are eating and any exercise they are doing. This thread will give you some ideas on how to start.

Below the Pinned posts are the Topics where members share a range of weight related subjects.

Take your measurements at the start together with a photo so you can see the changes on the days the scales don't move.

We have daily weigh ins so why not come along and join us today. You can find the weigh ins on the Home page in the Events section on the right. Just click on the post in Events and record your start weight and any loss/gain or maintain for the week.

To get the most of the forum be active, share tips, recipes and experiences. Read some of the posts they are very motivating.

Welcome to the forum Clover2, there are lots of things to participate in to help you on your journey like the weigh ins and the diary and I've found everyone very supportive. There are lots of good tips, happy navigating around the site and good luck on your future weight loss.

Hi ya,

I was good Monday and Tuesday but yesterday I had a scoop of ice cream (stayed within my 1250 calories)

Today

Breakfast is cup of tea no sugar

Lunch I'm trying a protein bar

Dinner is to be decided as both my girls have gone veggie 🙂

The only exercise I've done for 3 weeks is walking (I walk between 8 and 12 km a day) so today (depending on how long the little ones nap is)

45 mins yoga and then when everyone's in bed a 15 min HITT workout DVD concentrating on arms today 🙂

Welcome clover2. I'm fairly new to this forum too. Like you I've got 3 stone to lose as due to medical issues and medication changes I've gained over 1 stone since March!

We all have good and bad weeks but together we keep on going and succeed

Welcome! Hope you enjoy! I love the daily diary (in topics) where we add our planned food for the day and chat about any struggles, and I also love the weekly weigh in. Pick any day and join that group with your starting weight. You could join tuesday's weigh in group today!! Then next tuesday you can log what you lose. It's very encouraging!!

😊 It's taking along time, I used to be really silly with losing weight before I had kids and if I don't see big results fast I get disappointed and give up,

Just gotta change the way I think! If it takes longer to come off so what at least I'm still losing it 😊

I am in this boat with you😜It used to be I'd cut back for a couple weeks and poof I was lean. Now loosing weight feels like trudging uphill dragging chains. Slow and steady...we can do this!
