I am a complete novice to Heath Unlocked and although on Face Book not a confident poster!
I am aiming to lose a few stone get motivated to get out and walk and generally have a healthier life. I find remaining focussed and energised really difficult and hope that by recording and sharing I can succceed in my goals this time. I am already a bit phased by all the topics and range but hope to stay calm and not get overwhelmed

I'm going to give you a lot of information, but nobody expects you to remember it all instantly. Just keep returning to it, until you feel more confident.

This is probably a silly question but what is the protocol to responding to replies? Is there a symbol like the like on Facebook or should you write a reply?
You may not believe you're a confident poster but you couldn't have done any better than that
Rather than rabbit on, like I can, my tip for now is to take your time and read through 'everything' that moreless has linked for you and keep an open mind. Perhaps this is the time that doing something different is what's needed to breakout of the same old dieting circles

Aaaargh, there's no time! I'm kidding a bit but what I do see is many people write a first post and then it's unlikely you ever see them again because they didn't hit the 'start button' straight away

Hi Phemie. It’s great you’ve taken this first step. I joined earlier this year, and felt a bit overwhelmed to start with too. I felt it helped to think of it as a longer term journey, and I enjoy reading and interacting here to keep my enthusiasm and focus heading in the right direction!
Thank you hoping to pick it up as I go along. I feel being accountable and sharing weight tips and exercise strategies may make me more focussed and therefore more likely to stick to it!
