Weighin worry

I did it again and could not stop myself getting on the scales mid-week! Bad news 2lbs on, but kept within my calories all week. I did increase to 1600 from 1400 as a mid point as felt that was more sustainable. Maybe that tells me that I need to be nearer 1400 😭I will weigh tomorrow and hope it was all a nasty blip!

Hi wakywoo

Sometimes we just can't resist having a peak at the scales midweek, sorry it was'nt what you were hoping for. If 1600 calories is too much for you why not go in the middle and try 1500 for a week to see what happens.

That is a good plan YellowRoses55 and sounds much better than 1400! This is trial and error to find out what works. Hopefully will be ok as I have reduced to 1450 ish the last two days.

I had to do the same when I started. I now have between 1500 to 1600 a day.

I'm the same. Can't stay away from the scales! I think I need to put them in the attic until a Thursday night or something!

is 1400 what you are supposed to have based on the BMI calculator?

see you in the morning!🙈

Hi allycan. The BMI calculator says between 1400 and 1800. I thought 1600 was a safe number. I will go by what the scale says in the morning and take it from there.

I've always aimed for the lower end of my cal range but, given your range, you should be fine with 1600. Scales can be your arch enemy and I've seen mine move 1.5kg in the wrong direction within a couple of days of my weigh-in only for me to show a loss the following week.

Try not to stress it day to day (easier said than done). I used to do exactly what you're doing and still do on occasion. Daily and weekly fluctuations are a bit of fun that our body likes to have with us. You'll be good just by sticking to those numbers.

Good luck!
