Weight loss
Hello Sabitha,
I'll leave the question as to the benefits of drinking warm warm over water at any temperature to others here, who may be better informed than me.
I would say that our bodies need water and maintaining sensible hydration levels is something you should indulge in whenever necessary.
Good luck with losing the 5 kilos.
Aim for increased Fitness and lesser diet - that will help you reduce weight.
Warm water has got no impact on weight. It is just a myth. Avoid spending time and energy on these popular short cuts. There is no medicine / herb/ juice / water therapy to lose weight.
Just proper nutrition + intensive exercise - Jogging, running, swimming, aerobics, zumba will help you to reduce. Walking is not enough to lose weight.
Aim for a 1300 calorie diet. Monitor your calories with Myfitnesspal app.
That way you can bring down your weight. Aim for two kgs in one month and in three months you can achieve your loss.
All the best.
You *can* lose weight walking, but you have to do a lot of it. Years ago I walked about 6 miles per day 5 days a week and I ended up at my lightest weight ever. Not having a high calorie intake helped.
Some people say that warm water is good for flushing your system but that's the only benefit over cold water. It certainly won't help you lose weight - unless you switch to drinking water instead of sugary drinks. If you're exercising then it's good to drink water during and after the exercise to keep yourself hydrated.
I agree, You *can* lose weight while walking also , but depends on lots of other circumstances also. ... Like Diet.. Current weight.. Target weight etc.
I have seen people usually take walking to be like Strolling... and expect to lose weight... therefore i always recommend either speed walking or jogging. that burns calories much faster.
In this particular case, she is not too 'weighty', she is just trying to shed off the last mile weight. This requires a little more intense exercise.
But still exercise and diet balance is different for everyone... Whatever works is Good !! No arguements on that
I have lost almost two stone with not exercising, other than once or twice in the time of being on here. It may help you slightly faster but it can still be done. All I do is count my calories and make sure I eat somewhere between my calories. My husband loves takeaways and going out for meals and we still do it now. I just always ask the companies what their calorie intakes are on their meals. If they can't give it to me I ask to speak to the manager and tell them that they should have this info for people like me or others anyway as this should be part of the nutritional information they have for people with allergies. All that matters with me losing weight is calories.
Great Going! Losing weight without exercising is surely a tough thing to do. I admire your persistence and grit.
Exercise does have a thousand other benefits like tuning up the body, muscles and joints, internal organs/systems etc.
A walk/jog in a park/ nature can rejuvenate the mind and soul.
So weight loss should be a goal, but along with that being fit and active would help more I think.
Keep up the spirit and keep going for your goals
Hi Sabitha, drinking warm water is not going to help you more than just drinking water. But it is a good idea to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
I suggest you follow the NHS 12 week plan nhs.uk/Livewell/weight-loss... and those 5 kg will slowly but surely disappear. Good luck.
Drink warm water before you walk and ideally walk for more than 30 mins in one go if you can. As long as you are watching what you eat you will lose the weight. Stay away from sugar except in fruits, even with fruits limit your intake. Good luck
Wishing you happy walks 👟👟
It doesn't matter when you drink warm water, I drink tea immediately when I get up in the morning before I do anything. I leave it about an hour or two before I eat breakfast in the morning. You do get told to drink lots in a day. You should be fine, so when you are thirsty just drink.
