Hello everyone I've just started my diet and would love some tips to get moving! I haven't been mobile for the past 3 years but am making a start now! any tips on healthy eating or gentle exercise to built up!

Hey. Are you a fan of swimming? You can take that really gently and it's brilliant exercise for all your different muscle groups without high impact on your knees/back etc. I try to go most days and it always makes me feel better. Otherwise - when the weather is like this, not much beats a good walk, even if it's just for half an hour round your local area.
Thank you. I am unable to get out of the swimming pool lol due to muscle weakness but I've started stepping and doing some gently stretches which seem to be helping. Maybe once I've got my muscles stronger and lost wight i will try swimming again since as you say it is brilliant for all muscle groups.

Have a look at the NHS 12 week plan, as many people have had success with it. Also use the BMI checker to find your target calories, it's important to eat enough. This was a major turning point for me, realising I could eat anything I wanted as long as the calories are accounted for ☺
Don't forget to take your starting measurements and a 'before' picture, as they can be very motivating on days that the scales refuse to co-operate ☺
The forum also have group weigh-ins every day if you wish to take part. The posts can always be found in the Events section on the 'home' page ☺
