Hi I've manage to stay focus today,I took a banana for coffee break so managed the biscuit situation well. Then took my grandson to the park and enjoyed the walk in the lovely sunshine. How did your 1st day go?

How did your 1st day go. Mine wasn't to bad. Managed tea break by taking a banana. I had a stir fry for tea. Had a nice walk in the sunshine so felt it was a good day overall, just got to get through the evening

Well done Nannafixit for taking a banana and avoiding the biscuits🙂 Sounds like you had a lovely afternoon with your grandson and a healthy tea. Make sure you are eating enough calories a day. If you like something in the evening, build it into your eating plan. I sometimes do a slice of fresh pineapple, half a banana and a kiwi to pick at. Once you have finished eating try cleaning your teeth, it might put you off having anything else. Plan for tomorrow so you have another good day - good luck.

Hi. I've had a good few days but now to get through the weekend. How's it going with you

morning Nannafixit, I'm pleased you have had a few good days. I am keeping going but at the moment it is a very slow process. I am determined to get through it though and accepting it may take me longer than I had hoped. I do a Leslie Sansone 1 or 2 mile walk every day. She is on youtube and a good motivator. I know the exercise won't help with loosing the weight, but it is helping to tone me. I have lost an inch of both my waist and bust in the 9 weeks I have been doing the NHS 12 week plan. It also helps my mind to think more carefully of the food choices I make. I don't know if your calorie counting or not, I allow myself an extra 100/150 calories on a Friday and a Saturday then you can have what ever it is you enjoy within reason, as long as that's not going to make you fall off the weight loss wagon! Have a good weekend and if you want to post again on Monday and let me know how you get on. :)

Hello Nannafixit and welcome to the weight loss forum ☺

The first place to look is at the Pinned posts section to the right of your screen (bottom if you're using a mobile), read the Welcome Newbie thread first and move through to the challenges, where we hope you'll find at least one that will appeal to you ☺

Move down to the Topics, to find a variety of threads, collated into specific topics for ease of access and we ask that you also 'file' your own threads, so that others won't miss your important news ☺

Have a look at the NHS 12 week plan, as many people have had success with it. Also use the BMI checker to find your target calories, it's important to eat enough. This was a major turning point for me, realising I could eat anything I wanted as long as the calories are accounted for ☺

Don't forget to take your starting measurements and a 'before' picture, as they can be very motivating on days that the scales refuse to co-operate ☺

The forum also have group weigh-ins every day if you wish to take part. The posts can always be found in the Events section on the 'home' page ☺

You'll notice a grey box next to people's names, these are achievement badges, and as a new member you may have a 'Newbie' badge. If you have any questions or would like a Newbie badge please just ask ☺

We've found that to get the best out of this community, we need to be active on the forum, as it's where we exchange information, get motivation and inspiration and make friends. We hope that you'll join us here, regularly, too ☺

Best wishes

Anna

Ok Nannafixit , HealthierStudent15 and ary88 , how about, clearing out your cupboards of anything you don't want to eat and then taking yourself off to do a healthy supermarket shop, you'd be surprised how motivation a healthy, colourful shopping trolly can look. Look at some new recipes to do. Look at joining in with some challenges on here. Don't just think about what your going to eat, think about other things that you would enjoy doing that will take you away from the kitchen. Go for a walk, do some gardening or craft activity you might like. Look to join an exercise class or look at exercises on youtube. Set yourself some small weight loss goals along the way and write down some non-food rewards, a new nail varnish, nice smellies, a hair cut, a trip to somewhere you have always wanted to go. Then later on today come back on here and each post 2 positive things you have done and support one another:)
