Hi Shayla28
Welcome to the weight loss forum. By following the nhs 12 week plan yes it is possible to lose 10-15lbs by August, good luck.
Take a look at the Welcome Newbie post in the Pinned post section at the right hand side of the screen or if your on a mobile at the bottom. Have a look at the nhs 12 week plan, many members have had success following this plan. Use the BMI checker to work out your daily calorie allowance.
Below the Pinned posts are the Topics where members share a range of weight related subjects.

You have 21 weeks to lose the weight, so possible, definitely, though it will be quite a test of your willpower/discipline. I have lost about 6 pounds since 1st January - my journey so far has not been smooth, as I put most of what I lost in January back on in February and now have lost again in the last two weeks. Best of luck! It also depends on how overweight you are in the first place, I think, so just follow the plan and see how the first month pans out.
At the moment I am 13.5 stones. I am not sure where to start, but I start by drinking alot more water and started on the green smoothies. Any recommendations?
Hello Shayla28 and welcome ☺
Take a look at the links Rose suggested, especially the Newbies post ☺
I personally think eating proper food in sensible amounts is the best way to go. But have a good look around the forum then ask if you don't understand anything ☺
Best wishes
Anna
This sounds great already - drinking more water. I also think Anna has the right idea - just eat healthily and maybe smaller portions and the weight will go. I just overdid the booze and sweet things in February (a few significant dates and lack of willpower once I started). Identify your "weak times" in the day - mine are watching TV in the evening - and have some good snacks/drinks ready for those having allowed for them in your planning of other meals. All terribly boring, but it works.
Thnks much anna
