Hi Rosie3 it is so hard to change a habit of a lifetime. For example, when you think about being small and being sad, what treat was given to cheer you up - sweets and ket! Not treats of apples and healthy stuff! Try not to think of this journey as a diet, think of it as healthy living. Try to think of chocolate as not a treat, but a great big spanner in the works! And if you're tired of starting again, stop giving up...xx
Here's how I managed to keep on going:

I don't keep sweet treats and other stuff that is too tempting in the house. If its there, I would eat it. Fruit, nuts, half an apple and a tiny piece of cheese. But best to eat properly and try to get out of the snacking habit.
Sugar is truly addictive, and really nothing about it is good for you.
For me I didn't take it totally serious until I scared myself. Check your BMI on NHS, just how unhealthy/overweight are you? Is this what you want? I couldn't believe how much I had let myself go without realising and for a website to just state it there in big red letters 'OVERWEIGHT' I knew this isn't what I want to be labelled.
You really have to think of where you want to be and where you are - this should always be on your mind to keep up with motivating yourself on the smaller things (like not eating chocolate)
