Put it off no longer

It may not yet be twelfth night but the decs are down, and day 3 of Dry January has begun. Having 'finished off' the Christmas Cake on Sunday it is time to assess the damage. 6lb on eek. That's the price for merriment when your normal mobility is restricted and you eat too much! Aiming to ditch 4lb this week!

Good luck on ditching the Christmas gained weight

Wishing you all the best :)

I'm sure you will get the extra weight off once all the Xmas goodies,or should that be baddies have gone. I've also had a health problem that has reduced the exercise I can do which is annoying. Yesterday I put the remaining Xmas cake out for the birds (threw icing/marzipan away). Decided the birds needed it more than us!

Oh well, at least you know why you've gained and it was a special occasion. I enjoyed Christmas too, to the tune of 6lbs 10oz! Good luck with your goal this wek.

We have until the 6th to dismantle the tree, don't we? (yes, mine is still up).

As for the merriment, I'm sure that once eating habits return to normal and calorie deficits are re-introduced, you'll soon lose what has been gained.

I'm sorry to hear that you're not as mobile as you'd like to be, SportyGirl.

Bit of a nightmare. Dislocated my knee, torn cruciate ligament and severely bruised my tibia all while trying to put a bag in the overhead rack on a train in November 😰

My body is craving fruit and veg! My 'smart' husband has binned all the Christmas food and replaced it with fresh, healthy stuff. So fruit salad for breakfast and soup for lunch with ryvitas and something healthy for dinner 😊

Hi . There is a new milk drink in marks and Spencer . an Oat Milk or Almond milk. it's deliciour and nutritious. also coconut milk . mid morning with a piece of fruit. Twiceach a week I enjoy fish and a jacket potato in a restaurant. and weekends possibly a steak or Salmon Dinner with a glass of wine. I am mostly a water drinker .but found the choice of milk drinks satisfying.Sue Happy New You .Sue.
