Imagine yourself at Christmas - what are you going to wear? Buy something a size smaller than you are now ....hang it on the wardrobe and promise yourself you will fit into it by Christmas.

Download myfitnesspal or nutracheck and start logging everything you eat and drink...keep to 1500 calories daily, drink more water and go easy on cakes, biscuits, sweets, desserts and alcohol (treats for special occasions only). Have a look at the NHS 12 week program for guidance about what to eat, what exercise to do etc. Let us know how it goes?

Take a look at the Pinned Posts section, to the right of your screen (bottom, if you're using a mobile) and have a look at the Welcome Newbies thread, it has a link to the NHS 12 week plan, which is a guide to healthy living, rather that a specific diet plan.

Consider joining any, or all, of our challenges, as they're fun and motivating.

Join us for the monday group weigh-in. If you follow Zest , you'll be notified when she posts the thread. However, the latest thread can always be found in the events section, to the right of the home page.

Be active on the forum, as that's where we exchange ideas and get our daily dose of motivation and inspiration :)

Welcome and good luck :)

Have clear, realistic targets. Focus on the long game ... it doesn't matter if you don't lose weight every day or every week (our weight fluctuates a lot), but you want to see the scale moving downwards from one month to the next.
