Hi freyja12,
Look at the link provided by annde. Don't skip ahead, just one week at a time. Use the BMI tracker, nhs.uk/tools/pages/healthyw... to find out your calorie range. I stuck to the lowest figure. You then just eat healthily, counting calories and recording everything you eat or drink. I think the first week was about fibre so I made a conscious choice to get my fibre up to 30g a day. I downloaded myfitnesspal to keep track of my calories and you really need some digital scales so you can weigh everything out. Nothing is banned as long as you stay within your daily calorie limit. I know it's daunting and it's something brand new, just stick with it, use google to search for low calorie recipes and give it a go. I think I read a thread here that had a load of lovely recipes from forum members but I can't find it. Maybe I dreamt it.
We are here to support you and offer all the help and advice you need. Good luck and please let us know how you are getting on.

If you need recipe ideas try the change4life meal planner. nhs.uk/Change4Life/Pages/me...
The 12 week plan tells you how many calories you can have a week, and the meal planner tells you whats in the meals so as long as you cook what you needs (some recipes are for one, some for families ), it should help. It helps to plan meals over a few days in advance. Hope you find it helpful
