I must admit I only managed to run twice last week, but I will pledge to do my best to run 3 times this week, and to do the 3 times 25 minutes runs for Week 7.
Good luck to everyone! We can do this!!!

I am on week three. Did the first one last week but struggled as my back was playing up and will probably do the session again if my back is up to it and then do rest of week 3.
Well done to all on week 7, maybe I will get there soon!
Merrymanda
You just do what you can do manda! Don't overdo it if your back's not up to it. Week 7 will wait for you
Hi Merrymanda,
Well done on your progress - and do make sure you pace yourself, and try to protect your back at all costs.
Don't worry that we're at different stages, just post alongside us in this post - we're aiming to do the best we can, whatever stage or week we're on, and it's great to have you alongside us!
Have a great week.

Hi Gareth, due to a dodgy computer, I've been unable to keep up to date with recording my runs.
On thursday, I managed a PB of 43.25 mins, but then on saturday, I took 45.25 mins. Today I managed 43.58 mins, but I really had to push myself. Isn't it funny how each run is totally different?
Hope everyone else is doing well
Hi Moreless,
Wow, you've done brilliantly - it's really inspiring to read your progress this week, you're doing so well. You've achieved all 3 runs, and made great PBs.
Well done for pushing yourself, as I know it's not easy to feel motivated to go - hence, I didn't go on the weekend - Andy Murray swayed my attention, and I should have said 'No, Andy! I need to run!' - but instead I sat on my bum and watched him do all the work instead...! He did very well though.
Hope you enjoy all your runs this week.
Lowcal
Thanks Lowcal
I'm realising more and more how our mental strength plays far more of a role than our physical strength. I find it a lot easier to overcome the false information from my body, than from my head
It sounds as if you're in the same boat. Maybe positive reinforcement and meditation is what we need
Hi Gareth and everyone,
I did my first run of this week yesterday (Monday afternoon) and I really enjoyed it! I had to stop a couple of times though, once for tourists taking photographs of scenery along the cliff-paths - not room to run around them, and also had to stop along the road when a bus passed me on a couple of occasions, but apart from that, I kept going and ran for approx 31 mins.
I'm hoping to do my second run of the week tomorrow, at the gym.
Hope everyone is enjoying the week so far.
Here's to a great run for everyone who is running this week.

Hi Gareth & Everyone,
I did my second run of this week yesterday (Wednesday) at the gym. I ran for 5.1 kms, but I forgot to note the time - but I ran for approx 31 minutes, and it was really good!
My third run will be outside, and probably over the weekend.
Hope everyone is having a great week!
