Well done on starting c25k

Hi Gareth,
I've just pinned up your latest thread in the Pinned posts area, and here is a link to the post for where many people have already fed back on their First Run:

Looking forward to the second one! It's a great Challenge Gareth, and thanks for organising it!
Lowcal
Just completed run 1 & it wasn't too bad. My brisk walk is more of a dawdle though! Felt a bit self-conscious with all the commuters driving past but will get used to it. I had to put my phone with podcast on and keys in a bum bag but what do others do?
Yay - well done on completing run1, that one is the hardest!
I put my phone in my (very sturdy) bra and I have a running belt which I store my keys (in a sock so they don't rattle) and it holds water bottles.
Thank you LessToLose , I'll look into the running belt option next time I go to town.
Any pursebelt/bumbag would work. But I got a running belt from sports direct about £5. Been using the same belt for over a year, it just works

Well done Fab_Jem 😀 I too completed wk 1 run 1 yesterday and it felt good. I bought a arm band on amazon for my phone (£5) it holds your phone and key. Very comfy and the wire didn't get in the way as threaded it up arm in my t-shirt and out through neck hole. Good luck tomorrow. 🏃😀👍
You can buy arm bands in sport shops too!
Thanks all for suggestions, I'll take a peek online before I venture into a shop and see what I like the look of ☺

Really looking forward to tomorrow's run Gareth, it feels a bit weird not to have run today! I'm just hoping my body remembers what it's supposed to do!
Thanks so much for this, it was just the push I was needing!

Hi gareth0073 and all new runners. I've just found out that Claire2stone has really sore ankles, as a result of not stretching post run and I thought it was something that we should all be aware of. This is a link to the NHS stretches

Hello - I've missed this. I started C25K once and didn't get away with it; I was doing it in the gym. How long does each session take? I'm going to have a problem scheduling I think. Is it 3 runs a week obligatory? Thanks for any help/advice. I need something new to help kickstart next phase.
Hi Frankie, it's 3 half hour sessions a week, whenever that fits into your schedule. The idea being to gradually work up to running for half an hour, at the end of 9 weeks.
You could run home from the train station 3 x week, if you take your gear to work with you
Come on, join us, it's exhilarating!
Oo-Er! Ok! I can start tomorrow! Will probably do first one in the gym. Found what I think might be some good podcasts (Robert Ullrich) as I wasn't keen on them last time. Thanks
