Having done every diet going I do find breakfast the hardest meal. I really d to skip it then get really starving and binge on carbs which I love and are easy. Any ideas on breakfasts.

If you love easy carbs, a bowl of porridge with some blueberries in should hit the spot and stop you from getting hungry and bingeing :)

Depending on how much time you've got, scrambled egg on wholemeal toast, or a vegetable omelette, or frittata.

I am a bit wary of cereals, as they can contain a lot of hidden sugar and are not terribly filling, but there are some varieties that don't have unwanted extras, just make sure you read the labels carefully.

Good luck :)

I find fruit and yoghurt one of the easiest combinations , I too find eating breakfast very difficult

im not a breakfast person so I have smoothie for my breakfast or sometimes a breakfast bar or homemade granola

What kind of smoothies do you do. I'd also love a recipe for homemade granola if you have one. Thanks a lot. I scrambled one egg and a bit of milk on toast no butter but smoothie sounds a good idea. 😊😊

It's worth Googling refrigerator oats. A great start to the day and breakfast all ready for when you get up in the morning. :) And no washing up! :)

I find the little porridge sachets the best. Two minutes in the microwave and then add some chopped fruit (usually banana or blueberries). Not as tasty as buttered toast, but do get me through to lunch time. Good luck!

Try the Quaker oats so simple sachets apple & blueberry is nice.

If you don't have breakfast you're already setting yourself up for failure. I know cause I've been there. I used to go straight for a sausage roll or bacon barm or just eat a bag of crisp, but not any more...

Start your day the right way and your body will thank you for it and you will be rewarded in more ways than one :-)

Hope you find a breakfast that suits :-)

you're absolutely right. I wake up and just have tea and by 10.30 I grab something usually carry like toast with butter and marmite. This is easy. Thanks for the tip

Don't do the sachets. Get giant rolled oats. I have between 40 and 50g of dry oats. Add about the same of water but you will find the right amount based on how thick you like your porridge. Microwave for about 2 1/2 mins. Add a big spoon of Total make 0% fat yoghurt and use Splenda or supermarket own brand sweetener which is far cheaper if you like it sweet. Microwave for a further 1 1/4 mins.

At this point I usually add blueberries or strawberries in season. If you get frozen blueberries and microwave for a minute or so before you do your porridge they will be ready to just throw in.

Another idea for people that like sweet thing is to stir in some Waldens farm zero calorie syrups which come in various flavours. They are not cheap but taste lovely.

Can be obtained from Amazon. I use the pancake syrup.

May sound a lot of messing around but only takes a few minutes in total and keeps you full for ages.

Thanks for the tips really appreciated. Will buy giant oats today. The sachets are great for emergencies but I think they have sugar added?

Hi Florence, a lot of the sachets do have added sugar, but the oats so simple original doesn't, so it's really useful if you need to take something portable, I keep a box in my locker at work and as well as breakfast it's useful if I get caught working late and get hungry, better than the packet of biscuits in the office!☀️
