Went to the gym for the first time in months today. I actually enjoyed it and managed to do more than expected. The weekend is going to be the hardest on the diet front though, still not sure how best to count calories!

Try downloading the myfitnesspal ap. It is free and really easy to use. It does it all for you. Also I would plan and enter the food you intend to eat for the weekend & it will help you to know exactly how much fuel you are taking in. Have a great weekend!
isn't it such a good feeling once you've accomplished a session of exercise after being away from it for so long? all those endorphins. when you start feeling muscles strengthening it spurs you to drive on. good luck for your next gym sess

Well done for surviving the first day. Work out your daily calorie allowance and then try to count all your calories accurately, do not guess. When I have tried to estimate portion size I have always been over. Weekends are harder but try to log everything and stay within your allowance. Best of luck
