So here we are in 2016 - and I'm looking forward to the new year much more than I expected a few weeks ago.
I've now lost 12 and half pounds and rediscovered my interest in cooking. My next "buzzard" is currently packing his case and hoping to be released next week, and if I lose another 1.1/2 lbs I can open his cage, and also get my 1 stone award at club ! I actually came home yesterday with a big basket of fruit for getting Slimmer of the week for losing 1.1/2 which doesn't sound a lot, but at Xmas week isn't bad, most people had gained !
I'm walking a little bit further, but still have leg pain....still a lot more buzzards weighing me down at the moment ( and their feathers don't half itch !) π x

Firstly CONGRATULATIONS on being slimmer of the week and reaching 1 stone lost! Amazing result losing weight over Christmas - enjoy all that lovely fruit!!
Sounds like you are in full swing. Walking is great especially if you have injury/pain at the moment. Just listen to your body, if you can walk a little further than great but try not to push it - it may make the problem worse.
Keep it up!
Congrats on getting slimmer of the week, enjoy all your fruit Libby! Hope you reach the 1 stone mark soon. Every buzzard you lose must go some way towards helping reduce your leg pain, but like Stephb I also suggest taking it easy, don't want to risk it getting worse! Take it easy
I am Ruth - I do ironing for a friend ( for pay) and also for my daughter ( for love π) but I'm doing it seated lately, as the constant standing in one place makes it worse to get going again. I havnt been back to Dr. Although my weight loss so far feels good to me, id like to lose a couple of stone, and then feel confident that pains cant be blamed on weight when I do go back x
I totally get that, but reaching a stone loss shows you're trying to help yourself at least which may go a long way with a gp. I had the same motivation for my stomach issues, and they're definitely improved since losing weight/adjusting my diet, but not 100% better. So don't feel like you're on an indefinite delay until you lose x number of lbs... buzzards... etc
Yes your probably right. In fact tonight when I was cooking my tea the pains were so bad, it was really getting me down. I have decided to make an appt for next week. I think I'm putting it off because I just want it to be that I'm too fat, and it will go, but its no good really, ill have to go...
Thanks ruth, ill let you know how I get on xxxx
Hi Libby,
So pleased it's all going good for you, I look forward to the next buzzard flying awayπ
Well its moving slowly but surely - I do seem to be suited to this plan, although it could be hard for working people I think ( slimming world I mean - not nhs plan) but it doesn't really feel like a diet, which is good I'm sure, and I don't feel deprived π x
Hi libby congratulations on losing 12 and half pounds to date. It would be great to achieve your 1 stone award at club this coming week so fingers crossed you achieve your goal of losing 1 1/2 pounds this week if not more.
It's great to hear that you are also walking a little bit further, but sorry to hear you have a pain in your leg, that can't be good, but hopefully when you lose some more buzzards the pains in your leg will also be gone for good
Here's to a successful week ahead and getting that award
