well last week I pigged out ..got back on the healthy eating for a couple of days and a two day break surrounded by alcohol and chocolates and cheese resulted in me eating my weight in calories ....ie a lot .

I felt really uncomfortable ....and then on Sunday evening after having very little to eat the biliary colic started

er ...not Sunday but Friday ....I could not eat on Saturday ...slept most of the day due to effects of analgesia ...things settled by Sunday ..However all I am craving now is porridge ...lol....I haven't weighed myself this week but feel like a beached whale ...any suggestions for getting rid of bloated heavy feeling that doesn't involve a pin !!

Hi, glad you are feeling better, I have IBS and find that carbs really bloat me out, particularly bread and pasta. The problem with this is, I absolutely love both of them. I find porridge does not bloat me as much and I use it sometimes to dull my carb cravings. I use plain oats and make up with a mixture of water and skimmed milk, then add a tiny drizzle of honey and chuck a few frozen berries on top. (they defrost quickly and cool the porridge down). Can you try and find which things bloat you and if I was you go for the porridge and enjoy it.
