Hi everyone. .This is my first day on my new weight loss program. ..I am going on holiday in 7 week and I look like a  house  side!

I weighed in at 13 St 12lb this morning and for my height I should be 8 stone! OMG! HOW have I let myself get into this mess.....I feel so FAT and depressed...none of my clothes fit..

I am suffering from Sciatica and struggling to exercise. ..any suggestions? 

I also have a thyroid problem for which I take thyroxine  (for the rest of my life ) which doesn't help matters. ..I feel like I am l fighting a losing battle!...HELP!.....

You sound exactly like I felt last August 😕 But you have taken the first step towards a new you 😊 

I was a similar weight, and take thyroxine and have mobility problems too. I aimed for 5% initially, and I felt so much better for it, so I suggest this could be a goal before your holiday? 

I have gained this week after a weekend away, also go away 7 weeks today, and would like to lose before I go 😊

Thanks for your inspirational words....I will try and break it up so that I don't get disheartened too quickly....I will weigh in next Monday and hopefully I may have lost..Good luck to you too

You are not fat, you have fat which is a biological necessity but don't let the amount of fat you have dictate who you are as a person.

You can make a great start towards a healthy size in 7 weeks. Try not to compare yourself to others and just concentrate on the improvement you are making and stay positive.

I am also going to try to follow my own advice for once and stop beating myself up for gaining weight. 

My weight loss is always very slow and hard to stay on track but it will be worth the effort.

We can do this.
