Why is it you're taking them? Are they helping those symptoms at all?

Been on starflower for two weeks, no change to 'power surges' (lol) but tummy definitely off . . . Never thought of the connection . . , 😕 Is it a common side effect?

Hi,

don't take my word for it, but just had a quick look on google, 2 pages mention bloating, belching and diarrhea as some of the possible side effects of starflower oil. But please have a look yourself 😊

Just maca root, surprised you went with starflower, seems more expensive and more hassle

Diana,

The doctor said to take starflower ?

Oh ok, they haven't done me much good, my own research seems better.........

Very unhelpful a few years back, menopause is nasty

Hmmm, somewhere else it says that sometimes it takes a while before these symptoms settle as the body gets used to it.

I would have a good look into this or Diana's idea? Most supplements do have side effects or should only be taken for a period of time 😊

If you check your blood type, it does help, tried too much over the years, hormones have been a real pain, the source of much upset.

Only Chinese medicine and this have been any good

Brilliant thanks,

I am seeing my kanizeoligist later and will ask

Hormones upset the bile, hence stopping digestion, upsetting bowels too, rebalance hormones, eat lower carb.

This excludes the normal bowel/digestion/bloat typical causes

Definitely think it's starflower causing me issues 😕 Hubby pointed out its an anagram of "slower fart" 😳

Stopping it ax it's given me the worst week of eating in 8 months- upset tummy/pain/under eating then losing control due to hunger 😞😞😞

Thank you June and Diana, would not have made the connection without you 😊

Maca saved me, after a month of 20 days of bloating, painful, nasty and just uncomfortable.

If you are o positive, coconut should be an avoid, I only have the milk in curry these days

I get mine from Amazon, well priced organic maca 1000mg capsules, 180 for about £16 lasts 5 weeks

All supplements can have side effects, including maca root. Not advised if you have thyroid problems. Can cause headaches and high blood pressure, amongst other things.
