Hacked off with hormones...

So yet again good old Mother Nature has come along just to annoy me maybe? Thought it odd to feel a little bloated again but yup - popped on the scales, four (!!) Pounds gained, bloated as you like and this time my iron levels have plummeted as well. Really feeling fed up as everything going well, so close to that first half stone and just feel like it's all been for nothing. Am aware that the hormones and lack of iron are not helping me feel positive but rubish to be coming on again after just two weeks. Am hoping a good night's sleep and my iron tablets might help improve things... sorry to be such a misery. Today I am officially the Halloween Grinch!!

Newbiewl, You are the nicest Halloween Grinch ever. Nature sometimes has it in for us mere mortals, but hang in there and get your iron back up. You will get there as all the good work is still good work and you can build on it again.

It isn't a proper gain. You will be good to go again in just a few days time I promise. Xx. Have you had your two week cycle checked out by your GP? Xx

Thanks Slim. I did go but options were fairly limited so trying the alternative. Had been going well but going to recheck my supplements and boost my iron and hopefully get back on an even keel. Maybe it's just the Halloween moon!

Thank you - yes a fresh week tomorrow so fingers crossed for a better week.

Have you looked into the mirena coil, massively helped my hormones although last couple of weeks have been a bit bloaty. I also recommend feroglobin for the iron ... Hope things pick up soon!

Don't worry same here. Mine will be at least a 2lb gain tomorrow I'm certain. It's just water, so hopefully will come off again quickly.

On the plus side youll probably have a dramatic loss in a week, as all the water weight comes off! ☺

I feel for you, the hormone monster calls on me too often, this yucky menopause ( 9 years in), I seem to have fresh ginger tea too often, and my weight varies a bit too. Prob a gain tomm for me too.

Thanks for the comments - very reassuring to know it's not just me! Feeling much better today for some sleep and have been outside in the glorious sunshine all day which was just what the doctor ordered. And yes, you were all right, this morning already 1.1/4 down so heading the right way again. Have a good week everyone and thank you!
