Fruit Loop!!

Is it a bad thing to eat too much fruit. I had bran flakes with raspberries for breakfast and a large fruit salad for my lunch with muller light yogurt. I actually feel quite bloated. OR!! Is it the fact I have not had enough to drink.!! Water that is!!

It is a good thing to have some fruit, but not too much as it contains quite a lot of sugar. For weight loss purposes, I would say 100-200 g of fruit a day would suffice.

Are you gluten sensitive or have a wheat issue? I ate Muller brand yogurt and I ended up with severe cramps that kept me from moving because Muller adds wheat to their yogurt.

I do not have a wheat issue as far as I know. I will try just having a muller light yogurt without the fruit for breakfast one morning to see how I feel. Thanks Activity 2004.

You're welcome! Any time!

I had a lot of fruit today and lets just say the result isn't pretty! :P

It's the same whenever I eat a lot of fruit. It might be an intolerance or something like that so normally I try to limit the amount of fruit I eat. :)

Well done on healthy eating though!

I know it a VERY personal subject. I could eat lots of fruit and it does not effect me one little bit. What's wrong with me 😆

Have you ever been tested for celiac disease or gluten sensitivity? Please ask your doctor at your next appointment.

in reply toActivity2004

I will ask about it. Although I do not like going to the doctor. I would rather visit the dentist!!!!

in reply toActivity2004

I've never been tested no, I'll ask my Dr next time I go to see them. Thanks.

There's nothing wrong with you, that's good that eating fruit doesn't bother you. It causes me horrible digestive problems. On the plus side I'm no longer worried about the weigh in tomorrow haaha! x

If you do not usually eat the foods you mentioned, any of them could potentially cause bloating. If you want to eat yoghurt, try one that is just made with milk, without the additives.

could it be a reaction to a sudden change in diet ? I have IBS and have to be very careful about some foods, always start off with small amounts first 😊

But in general, even with the sugar, fruit is far preferable to cake or pies!! 😊

in reply toIndigoBlue61

I agree. I have just came to conclusion that I would be better eating more vegetables than fruit. This may help my weight loss. 😊

I only have fruit as I don't like vegetables. I have maybe 3 or 4 portions a day. I still loose weight. I always think it is at least healthier natural sugar than the fake stuff.

It doesn't bother me internally but everyone is different!

in reply toOsiris275

The only vegetables I really like are peas and sweetcorn. Slimming clubs say we have to careful with eating those too!?! You are right Osiris275, it is a lot better eating fruit than fish suppers, cream cakes etc.
