To Fitbit or not?

I've had a jawbone up24 since the start of December (well I've had 2 since then) and there's always something wrong with it! I love the app and it's fab when it's working but getting fed up. So Fitbit or not? Xx

I haven't tried jawbone, but I have a fitbit and always find it good but basic

Hi

I've got a Fitbit HR charge and I love it. Some sync problems initially but all sorted and works well, only gripe is that I only get 4 days max between charges. I think the Fitbit app is a great motivator too.

Hi Billingsh,

I don't have a Fitbit, but there have been a few previous posts about Fitbits, and if you put the word Fitbit in the 'Search HealthUnlocked' window (see top right-hand-side of this page) then you can access some of the previous threads on that discussion - this forum is a great resource for looking up information and seeing people's views on things.

Hi,

I have a GPS watch and love it. Mine doesn't counts steps but you can get one that does.

I love the fact I can glance at the watch and know exactly how far I have walked :)

I don't think a fitbit would work for me but I have colleagues who have them and love them. I suspect it depends how active you are during the day as to whether a fitbit it for you or not :)

Have the fitbit HR and I love it , also not sure about jawbone but you can link the fitbit app to myfitnesspal so it updates your kCal for the exercise you do. Its easy to use and I like that I can also use it as a watch. The app is very easy and the fitbit its self is comfortable and easy to use. The main issue is the battery life which is around 4/5 days if you are using constant heart rate monitoring.

Need any more info just ask :)
