I am going to start the 12 week plan again tomorrow, along with a little exercise. I have my 12 week plan printed out, my alphabetised book where I write down all the calories each food has so I can tally the calories up easily while I am going along. So all I need now is my willpower to hold out for more than a couple of days.

There are some useful online apps for keeping a diary of foods eaten and to keep track of the calories if you find it helps. Main thing is to have a positive approach, which you do! Keep it going!
Thank you. I seem to have got rid of my lack of motivation I had last week so hopefully this week will be better. I prefer to write all that I eat down and tally up the calories as I go through the day. It also makes me think more about portion sizes as that is my major stumbling block...I was taught to eat all that was on my plate....it's just that my plates have got larger the older I got .
Ha ha, I know the feeling, I just bought some smaller dinner plates! I use a similar system where I write everything in a dairy including recipes I have made and worked out the calorie content per portion. I also add as I go along so I know if I am getting near to my limit, it also helps me to adjust as I go along if I have gone over slightly. Good luck on your second go at the 12 week plan John
