I'm on the bus exercise programme and enjoying it. Alas I have knee difficulty and walking is a problem. Any helpful advice would be nice.

have a look online there are lost of low impact exercises or chair exercises which will not hurt your knee, or you can use cross trainers or walk in the pool or swim etc
although your food is more important to get under control so don't focus too much on the exercise until you have your eating and diet controlled (normally a few weeks into the diet when you realise you can walk past the cakes and not mourn them lol)
I'm with Hydrogirl on this one. The exercise I wish I'd done when losing most of my weight is push ups. The only area of me I'm not totally happy with is my upper arms. How vain at 60+! I will probably never be fit enough to do push ups the traditional way on the floor. But I am quite happy to stand facing the wall and putting my arms out to touch the wall and doing the push up that way. It is using the same muscles without challenging the bits of me that don't work as they should! Also any walking you can do is as good for you as jogging and running in terms of using your muscles. It just takes you longer to get there. Good luck with your food planning and your exercises.
