New to weight loss

I would like to start with weight loss

Health and fitness so important especially for those who get older

I will weigh myself at the Gym today and set myself a goal

I have been overweight since my early twenties and now I am fifty

It would be a huge achievement to take pride in yourself and I expect self confidence and self belief can start again

Good luck on your journey, I have just restarted and have not yet set myself a goal as I do not want to be unrealistic and set myself up to fail.

Self confidence and self belief will come in time, but be kind to yourself through out your journey.

Taking care and looking ourselves is a habit which is new to me

I have neglected myself for many years

and this has resulted in emotional overeating

I will try day by day

Hi, i have started today ! weighed in and could have cried.... o'm a stress and emotional eater too - and loath the way i look. i need to lose weight and gain sanity and self respect.. wishing us both a steady journey :)

Dear Ritatata

I have as always turned to food as an emotional eater in order to feel better

I fact when ever I had an argument I would not eat

Due to sheer anxiety I ate a plate of salad

Again we should try to eat to live not live to eat and not turn to food for comfort
