Weight loss plans - what plans are you on and how are you finding them?
I know I’m better if I have a plan to stick to, I’ve just joined ww as I need a good kickstart so going shopping today for some healthy foods. I’m just stuck in a rut atm eating all the wrong stuff. I have 2 young children also so too much temptation in the house, I need to be really disciplined.

Mostly trial and error. I can go as high as 1800- 2000 and not gain but if I try for 1400 and accomplish 1500 or even 1600, I am still in deficit especially if I exercise.
I don't count calories these days - it stopped making sense for me because of what I learned here - but when I did and was around 185lbs, I had a bigger "allowance" than that and lost weight steadily. I've always preferred to eat as much as I can, consistent with losing weight, rather than as little as I can manage on
Goodness gracious. I weigh less than half your weight (I’m not tall!) and I would lose weight eating that number of calories. I am sure you could eat more and still lose weight - I did - and felt better for it. It’s not good to lose too fast on too few calories - it’s just too restrictive amongst other things.
when losing weight I probably consume a similar number of calories and strangely find if I have more it can actually make me feel more hungry between meals 👍
I'm on a low calorie / low processed carb diet. The low carbs helps with cravings as does making sure I drink plenty and I find cups of tea helps here. I also make sure I have food I enjoy, if it is high in calories or carbs then I limit portion size.
Having young children in the house with the temptation it brings is not easy.
I have pretty much maintained my weight for over ten years--a BMI of 21.5, down from 27.5. I work at it with a keto diet...and I no longer gain or lose more than about a pound or two.
I am quite strict with my diet. The few times I've tried anything other than strict, even a cheat day, my weight has crept up.
I’m doing the Saturday weigh in, hoping I’ve lost a bit this week, I’ve been pretty good, finding the planning good, done measurements and taken som photos 👍🤞
I do calorie counting, about 1700-1800kcals a day! I find it very flexible and means I don't feel restricted. Have lost over 40lbs. I've dabbled with low carb but it doesn't work for me, makes me feel light headed and want to grab the sweet treats! Calorie counting is much more sustainable for me. Good luck on your journey
