Losing weight
My experience has been that I lost most of the weight from the upper body first and now it is shifting from the legs. I find running really helps shift the weight in these areas , but walking is just as good, cycling might help to as well as squats. Give it time and it will all just drop off and you will be in the next size down in no time
My husband thinks it might be muscle that's why there so big as I walk and burn nearly 400 cal just school run each day but I have lost 4 stone now any lost it off the top like u said I'm hoping it works like that where it comes off after
I started at a size 20/22 and 17 st 2 lbs you began size 20 and 16 st 9 lbs so tha'st a 7 lb difference and you know from all you have lost some must have come off your thighs. This is an area of the body where the fat is harder to shift it's quite a stubborn area and will take a little longer than usual to get this down, but believe me it will start to shift the more lbs you shift. I am now 11 st 4 lbs and they are going down faster now more than when I got into the 12's so continue every day and every week and you will definitely start to see a difference Emma 4 stones is a massive achievement and you should be so, so proud and very well done
I find walking helps with toning and shaping my thighs and bum but this did not show until I had lost most of my weight and am close to my target weight. I can now stand with my legs together and still have a gap between my thighs 😜
Remember we all have a body shape and carry our weight in different places, are you naturally pear shaped? I carry mine on my upper body, so even though I have lost weight I am a d cup ( mind you they hang to my waist😁😂) if you have Body Pump classes near you thy are great for toning
I was going to suggest about being pear shaped too. I really struggled to see a difference in my thighs too and I'm definitely a 'pear'. The changes were more subtle but they did change. My advice is to do stretches. You can do these on their own even. There's a good routine on the NHS pages, look up stretch exercises. I made sure I really stretched my legs after all exercises. This is even important after walking. My thighs are very muscly still, but I think I managed to make a difference this way, and got my legs to the stage where I could finally fit into size 12 jeans, my final goal. Also just be really really patient. And see muscle as a benefit too - its a great sign of a healthy body, strong legs that will carry you through your life hopefully without arthritis, osteoporosis etc. Plus carrying weight on your hips is meant to be a sign of good health too. Loads of positives to focus on while you patiently await those changes. Good luck
I guess trying to think as a positive till comes off is a good way but I would be happy if I could see the changes u know what I mean but I know I have lost loads which I should be proud of none the less
I was always a pear shape and my legs far from toned!
However I lost my excess weight last year by diet and walking, but it was not until I was losing the final stone that my thighs improved! Because of my age, the skin is still a bit baggy, but they measure 3 inches slimmer, and in jeans /leggings they look fine!
