Morning...awake early and lying here thinking I need to get back on track!!!! Five or six pounds have crept on recently π!! I decided bout 2 months ago I was grudging the money for my gym so quit..and yup Im already regretting it...i did go to a cheaper one for couple weeks...but think I miss
the pool for chilling in!! So the plan is im now gonna fork out and rejoin π!! I hit 50 recently (and im sure feeling it this morning π) so I need to get some pounds off (for health issues and my sanity as hate when not
In control) but I need to get myself focused..no more chocolate, crisps or dips ππ³ and I also feel when doing some regular exercise it does help the stress levels π x

Gyms really stress me out - I join up, lose motivation, get stressed about not going and wasting my money, stick my head in the sand for a while, cancel membership, feel bad etc etc etc.
I've learnt that I'm much happier going for a walk or run in the sunshine / rain / wind (too much of the latter recently !) and swimming at the council pool when the desire hits me.
But that's just me ! Hope your rejoin is a success and you get into the groove
Its just a nightmare Lucca...im same and go through the same thought process!!! I definitly thought i could do without the gym and had a plan in place in my head but its not working and then I feel guilty cos I feel Im not excercising and thats why i thought I will rejoin so then its done and I can stop stressing over whats the right thing lol!! Least then I have no option but to go lol!!
Watch this space though...when I regret it ππππ haha
It's tricky isn't it - I always find the 'motivation' that I've paid for it is never enough (which is why I get so stressed !).
Make a plan of when you are going to go, and just make sure you stick to it ! Do they do classes at your gym ? That might be a good option to keep you motivated ?
Yep - that's my view nowadays. So much easier to just throw on my trainers and get out the door for a walk or run ! Much less thinking involved and much more doing
Well done to have nipped it in the bud. 5 or 6lbs is much better than letting it get to stones. In the past, I have enjoyed the gym but I think you have to find the right one. Good luck sticking with it
Thanks hg! I did enjoy it but then got to stage where
Life was busy and I wasnt going alot..but I was still
Going which was more than Im doing now!! Plus they have alot of classes!! Aagghh feel annoyed cos obviously now I will have pay joining fee again!! I have looked at classes locally thinkn this was way forward but prices etc no better than rejoning π±
It is definitely not a money saver to pay fir a gym you don't like and therefore don't go to. I love a swim so I have joined one with a pool. Rejoin the old one and make some savings elsewhere. I am 50 and I have only rejoined a gym a month a go to stave off serious health issues and to get healthier again.
The only way I can make dieting work is to set rules.
Thanks Aqua..so very true...yup thats what I am just going to do I will go back to the last one, it also has pool and classes! i hope your starting to feel the benefits of going to yours π
Too early for that. I am going 3/4 times a week. I am losing weight from the diet though.
