Yes we have been walking in the woods this past week and here is Mr Boo. He would like you all to know he is happy with his figure and does not agree in the slightest with that vet who says he should lose a few pounds.
As for me, it is week three and I have lost 4 pounds. I was 16 stone start weight and am now 15stone 4lbs. I do feel better for it and it is giving me a real buzz to see the weight come off. It really helps to read the posts on here and I hope you all have had a great week weight-wise and otherwise.
I have had a bacon and egg and fried tomato breakfast and I will be off soon to walk the beach.

Mr Boo had big problems when I adopted him in France when he was around 4 years. The first time he was seen, the French vet asked me if I was sure I wanted to keep him as he had so many problems. I told him that as far as I was concerned, I had made my commitment to Mr Boo and I was not about to welsh on it. He then said that was fine but he too was going to make him a promise in that he would give him all his time for free and I only had to pay for his medicines. This was just as well as I was in those first few months at the surgery 2/3 times a week and my finances were stretched to busting. Back in the UK now, he still has a susceptibility to all manner of allergies and infections and his heart murmur is always an issue. The English vet wants to do an operation on one of his eyes as he has an ocular allergy that is causing his lacrimal caruncle -small pink nodule in the corner of the eye - to protrude. It does not hurt him as long as he has daily drops - just looks unsightly. For me I prefer him unsightly to risking losing him in a very painful operation. I live alone so I have no-one to help me decide, in some ways that is best as two people might disagree but it still has been a very big decision. Mr Boo is coming up on 9 and Cockers normal life expectancy is around 12. I know from what both vets say he will not make it to 12 but he has quality of life with me, he adores Toby, my Field Spaniel and he more than pays back all the money he has cost me by the love he lavishes on me. I am very blessed to have him and I appreciate every day he is here with me.
