I am confused about the exercise part of the plan. Is it 150 mins aerobic exercise plus 2 strength sessions each week. Or is it 150 mins of total exercise, as in a mixture of strength and aerobic. Would 3 aerobic sessions plus 2 pilates sessions a week, all of 30 mins each, be adequate? Thanks

Hi Madflo,
It's 150mins aerobic exercise plus 2 sessions of strength exercises.
If you're not used to exercise, then 3 aerobic plus 2 pilates would be great, with the aim of increasing the aerobic exercise to 5 sessions /week.
Hope this helps, good luck
Thank you moreless that does help. Its a lot of exercising! I guess that is where planning comes in and then sticking to it. Gosh...best get running x
Hi Madflo,
It's not as bad as it sounds, because the aerobic exercise can just be walking (not strolling ) take it easy and build up gradually. There's no point going hell for leather and hurting yourself
Have fun

You don't have to do the full quota from day one, build up to it sustainably. What you're doing sounds great. Extra walking here and there throughout the week will make up the difference. Or lengthen your aerobic sessions. I do 3 runs a week with 5 min warm up and cool down walks before and after each run. That adds another 30mins over the week. It all adds up. Good luck 😊
