I've had another fab few days away and arrived home just over an hour ago feeling very tired but very happy. Went to Blackpool on Wednesday to see 'Cats' , we decided to make a day of it and arrived at 10.30am. Make a day of it we did, by the time 7.30pm arrived for the show my legs and feet were begging me to not stand on them again that day!! The show was amazing, the icing on the cake being Andrew Lloyd Webber actually joining us in the stalls at the start of the second half!!!
Food intake for the day wasn't calorie counted, but I did try to make good choices. Undressed salad with chicken for lunch and though we went for a preshow dinner, again I reined myself in opting for a light bite portion of pasta with a tomato based sauce and drinking sparkling water. I didn't have starter or dessert either. I do admit to an icecream on the pier and delicious it was too, blackberry ripple. My pedometer says I did 14000 steps, my feet said it had to be more with my legs groaning in agreement of my feet.
Tomorrow i am back to work, with 42 hours from 9pm Friday until 11am Monday, hey ho, back to Earth....
Welcome back from your trip - sounds like you've had a really lovely time, and made some good choices with regard to food. Great to hear about your trip, and exciting that Andrew Lloyd Webber sat with you in the stalls!
Hopefully your feet will rest tonight, and I hope you have a good day tomorrow, despite being back at work. You're going to be doing a mammoth number of hours - 42!!! Hope you take breaks - that sounds like a massive Marathon!
Thanks lowcal. ALW was next row 1 down, so there was 3ft of aisle seperating us, lol. There was a young girl in front of him who was awestruck, bless her, and a very irritating woman who kept pleading with his security to let her talk to him!! Truth be told, I just wanted the second half to start and wished everyone would just sit down and stop applauding him ( does that make me sound awful! 😨) Really not looking forward to this weekends shifts, but I will be fine once I get there. Have a lovely weekend yourself hun x
Happy landing Shellie! Sounds like you've got this going out lark absolutely sorted, you're being more healthy and active than if you weren't surrounded by temptations. Sounds like that ice cream was very much accounted for through all the walking

Thanks Ruth, think I may have ccounted for a dozen ice creams this last 10 days or so, lol. 😊
I am really pleased for you that you made good food choices - and had a great time. I DO love ALW musicals - they are just big and fun and so enjoyable.
You would think so hey? My ex said he probably popped in to see how the show was going. It is his baby afterall. Blackpool is a long way from the West End though. Whether it was just my imagination though, the microphones and sound seemed much clearer in the second half! Will say the singing and dance routines were amazing and for the 3 times Jane Mac. came on the stage the main singers could have done it so much better in her part of Grizzabella. 😊
Sounds like change is embedding with you! Having fun, exciting and active times and making conscious choices! If you can eat healthy there you can eat healthy anywhere!
Your rockin' it!
Hi Shellie,
Sounds like you have had a great time. Cats is fab but Andrew Lloyd Webber in the mix well !!
You made some good choices and knowing that we are able to that for me makes the time away even more enjoyable.
Enjoy being back to earth lol
Have a good week
