Hi everyone, I have been away from you all for a few months now and a lot has happened. Weight loss and maintenance is hard work and an ongoing thing. Ended at 10st 4lb and now back up to 11st 4lb.
I got through Christmas not too bad, but complacency has crept in and a few things have been going on, (we lost our beuatiful Kizzy in January and it has been hard to focus). A short illness with her led to us having to make the decision to let her go, she was thirteen and a half so had a long happy life.
My exercise regime has escalated since last year and I am enjoying long walks with Ebony (my other dog).
Although I have put on weight I am feeling really healthy and lots more energy with all the walking. I wake up very motivated for the day ahead. My clothes are still fitting and I am determined once again to get back on track this year again. Allen and I are still doing this together so plenty of encouragement there. So here we go, I will join you all in the weigh-ins and get back down to where I want to be.xxx :):)

Good morning Marion and nice to have you back in the fold
I am so sorry that you have had to say goodbye to Kizzy, she had a long and happy life with you, but it leaves such a huge hole doesn't it. I love the picture, a lovely tribute to her
Despite your gain, you sound very focused and positive. I am sure you will get back on the wagon and as that extra weight has not been there long, it will move again quite quickly. Are you going to join today's weigh in?
It's great that you and Allen are still doing this together, it makes life so much easier. Would you like a re-start badge?
Thank you for your sentiments about Kizzy. It has been a hard time, but we have these members of our families and sometimes have to make some hard decisions, but it is all part and parcel of having the joy of all the years we had with her. Ebony has taken some of the focus away from the pain.
Sunday is a better day for us for our start of week, so it will be the Sunday weigh in for us. I am doing some meal planning before then. It definitely helps.
Allen got me a fitbit charge3 for Christmas and I bought him a fitbit as an early birthday present and it is really giving us some competition between us.
Lovely to see you here again, Marion_63 , though I wish you didn't have to be.
I'm sorry to hear about your lovely Kizzy. That's a long time for her to be part of the family and you must miss her so much. It's good to hear you have another little chum to keep you active, and the exercise seems to have paid off.
I hope you're going to be re-joining the Sunday Super Slimmers. We're still a very chatty, supportive lot and would love to hear how you and Allen get on
Good to hear from you Marion but sorry to hear of the troubles you’ve had.
I also got down to 10st 4 for a very brief period, soon bounced back up and am hovering around 10st 10 which I think is where my body wants to be.
The important thing is that you feel well and energised, your clothes fit and you’re maintaining 😊. In addition to weekly weigh ins, have you seen the Monthly Maintainers Club? healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...
Yes I joined them, but to be honest I only stayed a brief time. (I suppose I got a bit complacent at the time and tried to do things myself). It just shows we can get a bit too cocky in our approach to things. I will have another look.
