Welcome to the forum, and I hope you find it helpful and supportive. Have you seen the 12 week plan on the NHS website? The link is here:

I think it's a really good plan, and has lots of useful advice and information.
Using a tracking app can also be good - I use one called Myfitnesspal and it makes it really easy to keep track of your food and drink intake. Also helps to plan meals for the day and snacks etc, to make sure you're achieving good portion sizes etc. It's a free app and very good.
