Healthy sunday lunch
In actual fact the traditional sunday lunch of roast meat and veg is not that unhealthy. You need to watch the potatoes and think about pudding, maybe have a fruit salad option as well as something higher calorie.
Salad is simple to make and keep in the fridge..with no dressings or mayo...grilled meat or grilled fish too...with steamed potatoes...no butter...enjoy
Enjoy your normal Sunday roast dinner, but take the fat off the meat, don't eat the potatoes, just have some meat juices instead of gravy, and pile two thirds of your plate with green veg.
I always eat from small plates which helps considerably. Huge portions is why many are overweight nowadays.
You can ( and I did, many years ago) par boil potatoes in stock, roast with a small amount of fry light, tasty too.
Alternatively I love celeriac, much lower calorie than potatoes, can be roasted too.
It can be made into chips, par boil first, spray with oil, add cumin and coriander and back for about 20 mins.
you can do a roast dinner with ease and hardly unhealthy, if you cook yorkshire puddings in the silicone containers you do not need to use oil and they come out lovely, also maybe switch to chicken cooked in the oven or grilled and lots of vegetables to fill you up.
also rice dishes i find are very nice, a nice stew beef or chicken with spices in all quite healthy and easy to make.
