Hi I'm new to this to and want to loose at least two stone. I don't want to join a gym so started a dvd in November called 30 day shred recommended by a personal trainer. Once you start you do see results and it's only 20 minute per session. I hate exercise so I need the willpower to keep it up and it wasn't easy to get going but I'm going to try again on Friday as well as trying to keep to the calorie intake. You can get the dad off amazon and I think it's about £3.00. Cheaper than the gym
Me too....where did all this weight come from? I think where I do a busy job I just don't have time to exercise any more as I used to and my meal planning has gone completely up the wall.....got to take baby steps!!
Welcome to the group and well done on making a positive decision for yourself. I find breaking things down into smaller goals definitely makes things seem more manageable.
I use an app for my calorie diary, and i keep a diary of all exercise done as i seem to do more as i record it as i go. I find posting weekly weigh ins keep me focused as i dont want to post that ive done bad through lack of will power. I also find the motivation and support on this forum helps too.
I think deciding to make food and lifestyle choices instead of a crash diet is a great choice as it shows your in for the long haul to make yourself healthier, fitter and happier for a lifetime.
Good luck with your weight loss journey, keep us updated
Hi, I am starting this week too and am only a couple of years behind you! I too have a lot to loose & hate exercise, although I have a job that involves a fair amount of walking!
Hi, see that's one of my problems. I am a support worker based in homes where there's not great deal going on.....I really need to get moving! Baby steps for me!
Good luck with recording everything that goes into your mouth, I tried for a week and couldn't keep it up, but I am pretty useless. If you are planning to walk regularly i recommend downloading mapmywalk which keeps a track of your distance walked, speed and calories burned. Good luck.
Well.....weighed in this morning, 8 days after starting my regime. I haven't stuck to my calories rigidly, however it has given me an insight into what I am eating without realising. I have managed 30ish minutes of exercise each day. I'm so pleased to have lost 4lbs.
