Try printing off the 12-week NHS plan and looking at their counting calories but. You will have learnt a lot of good stuff on slimming world about the 'right' kind of calories (I.e fruit & veg) which will help you loads!

I never count calories, how boring. I think you know when you are going wrong. I try to eat fresh and nothing that I've not cooked myself, that way I know there is no salt and sugar free. My down fall is drink, and when I eat out, and not exercising, ie walking. I find these diets still get you to eat stuff out of tins and packets, which means you really don't know what you are eating. I also eat when I feel hungry, not because it's time to, and only portions I feel happy with. If I didn't go out socialising as much as I do, which is important to my mental wellbeing, I would be a lot slimmer. I joined here hoping for new recipes to try, and this is free. I've only been on a week, so no expert on the site, but I do think it looks a good one. But there again the NHS was supporting Homeopathy which is just sugar pills and water.

Two stone is great, and don't be put off by putting on 8lbs, you do know how to shift it, you just maybe have to get back that reason of why you managed to lose so much before, and do it, then you have an excuse to be naughty around food and drink, during the Festive Season, then back to eating healthy in the new year.

Don't be put off with a few pounds going on.

Thanks for your comments, and I agree,we all know what we do wrong,we just have to get our mind in the right place as I did before,I am not that much over weight so will just keep trying to be good,I weigh 10st 10lbs and because of my age the slimming consultant thinks 10st 3lbs is right for me at 5ft 4in I just don't want to put anymore on.I am not as active as I used to be,but manage to walk a couple of miles most days when I go into town. I don't drink, and cake and biscuits don't bother me,bread is my downfall,I love fresh bread,so I eat around 4 slices a day which I think is where my problem lies as I never touched bread during my six months at slimming world,I don't eat butter or margarine either,so I can only blame the bread got to get my mind right and stop eating it, bit sad really when you can't have some of life's staple food without gaining weight, we will see what happens, good luck to you,you will get there.l
