Hello you lovely people. So I have just started calorie counting to see if I can lose weight. I have researched my BMR and calculated everything to be in a calorie defict but I'm struggling to get my calories to the calculations.
So my BMR is 2184.25 if I times this by 1.2 for my activity level my calorie intake should be 2621 to maintain my current weight and I read that you should take 300-500 off to get your calorie defict which would be 2121 - 2321 but I am struggling to get my calorie intake above 1300. I only started on Thursday.
My question is am I doing more harm than good? What can I do to get the calories up? I'm just not hungry. I have been diagnosed with coeliac so have cut all wheat since Thursday. I am tracking everything I eat in a calorie app. Just some advice would be nice.
Hi Talliebobs and welcome back
Looking at your profile, I see you've followed SW and WW previously and lost weight and then regained. They are based on calorie counting so there's a danger you could have the same results if you follow the same path again.

There's some reading here on the downsides of calorie counting as a way to lose weight and maintain it. healthunlocked.com/weight-l... There are members here who have found success with this approach but, since that's not the case for you, maybe something different would suit you.
This is a simple plan and would fit with your gluten free plan phcuk.org/wp-content/upload...

Thanks I will have a good look at all you posted.
