Last Monday I weighed 13 stone 11.8 pounds, and this morning I weigh 14 stone 0.8 pounds, so I have gained 3 pounds this week. I was away for a long weekend, and I had a few meals out, and consequently I have put on the extra weight. However, I did enjoy the weekend.
I am therefore keen to 'get back on track' again this week and go back to more sensible eating. I am hoping that the extra weight will hopefully come off quite quickly. I would like to lose that 3 pounds this week, and that is my aim.
I hope you have had a more productive week than I have.
Good luck for this week.

Hi Lowcal, glad you enjoyed the weekend even if it did come with a few extra pounds! I am away this weekend for a friends birthday and I am sure it will show on the scale next Monday.
I've been keeping at it with (mostly) healthy eating and exercise. My weight this morning was 62.7kg, which is not much of a change over the last few weeks. But somehow I have manged to lose 3 inches off my waist since the start of January. I've lost the Christmas bulge plus 2 more inches and so I had to buy a new belt. I am slowly getting towards a trimmer shape in time for summer
That's great that you've lost 3 inches off your waist - and you're on your way towards a trimmer shape in time for Summer - perfect timing!
I hope you have a great weekend helping your friend to celebrate their Birthday, and hope the scales are not too unkind to you on the weigh-in next Monday.
Hi low cal , thats not too bad with a weekend away and meals out.
I weighed in at 80.1 last week and 79.6 today. Loss of 1 lb so delighted even though ihadhoped for more. I am sure you will do fine this week. I am away to Edinburgh at the weekend, 2 parties , one Friday, one Saturday. Staying for a week to catch up with other friends, so list of lunches, coffees, cake , wine and dinner on offer. I know I won't manage to not indulge so will put-on.
Congratulations on losing a pound this week - that's really great. At least you will be lighter ahead of your weekend away and all those parties and meals. Hope you have a lovely time, and hopefully you won't put too much on. Also, you've got a few days left of this week (before your weekend away) to continue losing.
hi Lowcal, I've moved from 74.3 to 73.8kg - so half a kilo or just over a pound. Pleased but know I could have made it better. On the negative side, there were three days when I did no exercise ( Appalling weather Wed & Sat) , on the positive side, I made it to the gym for the first time in over a year and have booked a session for this week to get a programme set up! Food is ok but I do need to keep planning - especially lunches - otherwise I fall off and into old unhelpful ways....
Good luck for getting back on track, you can do it!
Congratulations on losing just over a pound - that is really great. Also, well done for getting to the gym - hope your next session goes well and that you get a good programme set up. I agree that planning food does help a lot. That's probably why weekends away are so notorious for adding extra weight - all those 'unplanned' meals and snacks!
Thanks for your encouraging words. I'm trying to get back on track. I noticed that I ate a little more than I usually would yesterday - so it's hard to get back on track, but I'm determined to be back in my usual routine again today.
It sounds like you had a good weekend - glad you enjoyed it. We know those 3lbs will soon be off - I always think of those as a false reading, providing we get straight back on track! I decided not to weigh yesterday for a similar reason ....
Anyway, today I am 15st exactly, so 1lb off from last week. Not as much as I would like to see but it is a loss so I am happy with that. One lovely meal out and a curry did damage and after that I lost track of the healthy eating at the end of the week - but we still need to live and enjoy food (but not as often as I am doing at the moment). (BTW, I really enjoyed my sardines on toast on two days at work - thank you).
No plans for meals out this week so hope to remain focussed.
Congratulations on losing a pound - that's really good. Glad to hear you enjoyed the Sardines on toast as well - I certainly enjoyed mine as well. Must do that again soon. Healthy and tasty, and that's a good combination.
Sounds like you have a focussed week ahead, which is always good. I wasn't quite back on track yesterday, but I feel more focussed today and hope to be sensible with my choices. I'm still trying to walk daily - my gym attendance is not good, as I've not been for over a week, and I had planned to go twice a week, but I'm not too worried about it whilst I'm doing the daily walking.
I do like classes, but I've not attended one for several years! So it does feel like a big thing to commit to attending one.
I will accept your challenge but I'm going to extend the time till the end of March, because it is more likely that I will achieve it - I doubt I'll manage it by next Monday!
Welcome! Pleased that you'd like to join us - it does help to 'weigh-in' each week and share other people's experiences. It can be very motivating.
Hope you are feeling positive about your first week, and hope you have a loss next week.

Thanks for the welcome I actually started my diet 2 weeks ago after a hysterectomy I have lost 7lb to date so was originally 13.11 every lb counts lol looking forward to making diet friends we all need support.
Hello! Sorry to post on the Monday weigh in on a Tuesday! The last week has been rather hectic and whilst I thought about posting all day yesterday I never quite got round to it. Anyway, my scales have been doing weird things (bit like Kathkins said the other week when she moved them around). From the average reading I think I am the same as last week (12st 4lbs) which is reasonable given I had some really good days but also some really naughty day. Here's to a calmer and hopefully more weight-loss friendly week! Good luck everyone :o)
Well done for not gaining any weight. Nice to see you today to share your weigh-in. You mentioned that you've had a hectic week - like you say, hope this week is calmer and that we all have a weight-loss friendly week ahead!
Well Lowcal as long as we keep weighing things will be under control, I am back to 10.13 which is not unexpected last week was a fluke! Am not stressing about weight this week and eating pretty much what I want ahead of Sunday ..... Have a good week guys and gals!
Good luck with your training this week, and all the best for your half Marathon on Sunday. That will be an amazing feat, and I hope you do really well and enjoy it.
