I have lost 3 stone since my son was born 2 yrs ago I desperately want to lose another stone but I'm really struggling for motivation and willpower! I'm 30 in 3 weeks and would love to be somewhere near my target by then, any suggestions??

Stuck in a rut! :(((
You have the willpower you just can't see it. You just said you lost 3 st ,so you did it before .
All you need to remember is that you can do it and you will. You just have to think what you eat and how much of it.
Did you thought about starting running or swimming or any other type of exercise?
Please don't give up and keep trying, you will succed!
Thank you for replying I have a 2yr old and my husband works away all week so I don't really get chance to go swimming etc, I used to go running with the pushchair but now my son is a bit older he wants to walk and winges when he's confined to the pushchair! We go walking everyday (about an hour/3 miles) but it doesn't seem to make any difference to my weight loss, my problem is I work cleaning all morning and find I'm starving by the time I get home and then I overeat and then graze all day!! Need to get out of this bad habit! I just can't seem to get myself in the right frame of mind at the moment even though I'm desperate to lose this last stone x
You've done really well so far so you know you can do this. I exercise mornings and find that having a good breakfast sets me up for this and I'm not hungry until lunch time. Perhaps try some new recipes? (hairy dieters got a new book out) and have something already prepared for when you get back in from work. Good luck!
Could you get something ready in advance? A salad maybe be I like to graze on carrot and celery batons that fill you up, goodluck!
Hi C0untryBumpkin.
O.K. - so you know, don't you?
It IS about getting out of that overeating and grazing all day habit!
Try to plan yourself into a regime whereby you have what you eat during the day - after your walk - pre-determined rather than left to chance. (Turn it into some sort of game with your youngster, if that helps).
Have some appropriate snacks ready - could be a couple of oat biscuits, or a rice-cake, or crispbread, perhaps topped with something tasty but not too calorific.
You can use various tricks, like stalling mechanisms to slow down how quickly you eat them. Generally, if you eat quickly, you won't feel satisified and will eat more. If you eat more slowly you give your body more chance to register the food you've eaten and change your hormones so that you feel satisfied rather than hungry, reducing the chance of feeling you need to eat more.
If you're grazing out of boredom, then structure you eating into defined times and keep yourself mentally active to distract you from eating.
I have little doubt once you get that "bad" habit sorted that you'll be on your way again with your weight loss journey without any problem.
Good luck with your weight loss journey.
Thank you for all your replies, I really appreciate it I've had a really good day! Eaten healthy meals and fruit as snacks and bought some crispbreads to try too! Drinking water when I feel hungry and waiting a while before I decide whether I'm truly hungry or just bored! I know how to do it its just a case of breaking out of this rut and stopping the bad habits I've let myself get into!! Sometimes I think we just need a little push and some reassurance and I've certainly got that from your replies! thank you! Xx
