I've been a member since January, but this is my first post of my own.
I've lost 19lb but have stalled the last few weeks as although I'm within my calories, my exercise level has dropped due to work commitments, although I'm still getting my daily 14k steps, it seems I need to push my self that bit harder for success.
Anyway, back to the point of my post - I'm stuck in a rut foodwise - I am fussy (i don't eat fish, pork or lamb) - I've been cooking the same things over and I'm just bored so looking for inspiration.
My staples are:
Chicken, ham & new potatoes & veg
Chilli con carne
Spag bol
Carbonara with creme freche
Cauliflower cheear made with creme freche
Pizza chicken (top with passata and vintage cheddar)
Look forward to hearing new and exciting meal ideas

Well done for losing 19lbs, that's terrific!! I have awarded you a 1 stone badge, as proof of all your hard work!
I know you're not technically a newbie, but I'm going to give you all the same info, as you appear not to know about some of the things going on here
Take a look at the Pinned posts section to the right of your screen (bottom if you're using a mobile), or in the drop down on the 'Posts' page (it says 'arrange by'). Read the Welcome Newbie thread, then move through to the challenges, where we hope you'll find at least one that will appeal to you.
Move down to the Topics, to find a variety of threads, collated into specific topics for ease of access and we ask that you also 'file' your own threads, so that others won't miss your important news.
In particular, Healthy Eating and Recipes/Meals/Snacks.
Take a look at the NHS 12 week plan, as a lot of people have been successful with it, making sure to enter your details into the BMI calculator, to get a calorie allowance tailored to your personal requirements. Don't forget to take your starting measurements and a 'before' picture, as they can be very motivating on days that the scales refuse to co-operate.
We run daily weigh-in's and you'd be very welcome to join us. The threads can always be found in the Events section, to the right of the HOME page, bottom on a mobile.
We also run a Daily Diary, where we share our meal and exercise plans for the day. It's a great place to get ideas and to keep us focused. The link can also be found in Events.
Be aware, that the HU app doesn't give you access to all of our important features, so we advise that you use the full website page.
We've found that to get the best out of this community, we need to be active on the forum, as it's where we exchange information, get motivation and inspiration and make friends. We hope that you'll join us here, regularly, too.
It's only left for me to wish you well on your journey
Thank you for your reply, information & the 1 stone badge! It was the NHS 12 week plan that initially brought me here back in January, & has led to my weight loss using the BMR calculator. (& a shed load of exercise).
I have been avidly reading the posts, and commented a few times, it's a great forum, maybe now I have had the courage to make my first post, I will be more active!
Thanks Cracker10 -7lb is a great loss though (I see your badge) - my first 7 were slow to come off, my next 7 were quick and the last 5lb have taken forever! - I'm in it for the long haul though, but breaking it down 7lb at a time. Good luck & Thanks for the comment and support xx
They have 4 Hairy Dieters books, and apparently a new vegetarian one coming out later this month. They're all chock full of good ideas and I look forward to the new one.
Baked sweet potato with tuna mayo and salad
Baked salmon fillet with mini potatoes and a tonne of veg/salad
Lettuce wraps with lots of tofu/chicken and veg stir fry and a tiny teaspoon of rice in each wrap (I allow 25g uncooked rice overall)
Barley risotto (I cook it with tiny chopped up leeks and onions)
Red lentil daal with rice and finely chopped cucumber+onion+tomato salad, maybe add a few tesco mini poppadums on top and a spoon of mango chutney if you feel really indulgent
You could always do things like steak or gammon with salad or mixed vegetables.
I love BBQ or Chinese chicken and put this with either salad or rice and occasionally make something like pasta in sauce if I am having the others with other things.
You could always make a pasta bake which I don't tend to put with anything else. But if there is anything you want to add you still can.
There are times I make a paella with chicken and prawns but I know u said u don't like fish so just alter items here or there. I looked up the recipe online or you could always do something like cauliflower cheese. Sometimes I have this alone and sometimes add meat to it. Good luck with finding something.
There's a great Easy Meals app from the One You team that gives you great, simple, healthy meals. Other than that, Sainsburys used to do recipe cards (not sure if they still do). Free web sites such as BBC Good Food or Food Network have some great ideas too. Also Google+.
